ApplyLadder Job Saver is a Chrome extension, published on the Chrome Web Store, that copies the job posting you are looking at into your ApplyLadder job tracker. Instead of pasting the title, company, salary and description by hand, you click the extension, check the details and save.

## What it is

The extension has a single purpose: save the job posting you are viewing to your ApplyLadder account. It works on LinkedIn, Indeed and other job pages, and it needs a free ApplyLadder account.

When you click it, the extension reads the text of the page and any structured job data on it. The ApplyLadder backend uses AI to turn that into clean fields, so you don't need an AI key or any setup.

- Pre-fills job title, company, location, work type, salary, description and requirements
- Reuses the company if it already exists in your tracker, otherwise creates it
- Adds the role as a new application in your pipeline, starting at Wishlist
- Nothing is saved until you press Save

## How to install it

Open the ApplyLadder Job Saver page on the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome. Then click the puzzle-piece icon in the Chrome toolbar and pin the extension so it is always one click away.

## How to use it

Saving a job takes four steps.

- Click the extension icon and sign in with your email and password, or with Google. You only do this once.
- Open a job posting on LinkedIn, Indeed or a company careers page.
- Click the extension. The details are extracted and shown in an editable form. Fix anything that looks wrong.
- Press Save job to ApplyLadder. The job appears in your Applications pipeline.

## Privacy and permissions

The extension only reads a page after you click it. There is no background tracking and no reading of pages you haven't asked it to read. By default it only reads known job sites or pages that publish job data, and you can change this in the extension settings.
